Looking for something to do in October? New Hampshire has some Amazing Pumpkin Festivals, Fall Foliage Festivals and even some Spooky Halloween Events that you will not want to miss!
For Pumpkin Festival fans there is the Milford Pumpkin Festival, October 6-8, in downtown Milford (milfordpumpkinfestival.org) with a pumpkin catapult, rides, vendors, live entertainment and talent show, a haunted trail, wine tasting and fireworks. Another great festival is the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival being held October 13-14 in Laconia (nhpumpkinfestival.com). This festival offers live entertainment, rides, games, vendors, a 10K/5K run/walk, zipline attraction, climbing wall, bungee jump and beer garden.
Want to see something really unique? Check out the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Regatta in Goffstown on October 14-15. Activities include Pumpkin Catapults, Pumpkin Drop, a Mini Pumpkin River Race, 10K Run, Kids Relay Races and more. Foliage lovers may enjoy the 70th Fall Foliage Festival, October 6-8, on Main Street in Warner (wfff.org). Events include open-air concerts, races, parades, rides, food and a wide variety of vendors. The Fall Foliage Celebration takes place October 7-9 in Waterville Valley with a 5K road race, games, family activities, outdoor concerts and a ski swap.
Fright Fan? Canobie Lake Park’s Screeemfest is now open in Salem (www.canobie.com/screeemfest) with rides, live shows, a haunted house and Rocktober Fest. Fright Kingdom on Simon Street in Nashua (frightkingdom.com) claims to offer some of New England’s Scariest Haunted Houses. Nightmare New England in Candia (nightmarenewengland.com) offers rides, concessions and 5 haunted attractions on over 80 acres.
