Rhode Island ~ Have you ever experienced Christmas At The Newport Mansions in Newport, Rhode Island? Three mansions are magnificently decorated for the holidays and tours are offered November 19, 2017 through January 1, 2018. Connecticut ~ Lantern Light Tours at Mystic Seaport in Mystic is celebrating its 37th year. This year they will doing a theatrical production of “The Spirit of the Holiday: A Christmas Ghost Story” on Friday and Saturday evening from November 24 through December 22. Ac- cording to the website “Each Lantern Light Tour is a 70-minute progressive performance that covers approximately half a mile of uneven terrain (including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs) and is performed in all weather conditions.” (www.mysticseaport.org/event/lantern-light-tours)
Vermont ~ Do you like to bake? You may want to visit King Arthur Flour in Norwich this holiday season. King Arthur Flour offers a variety of baking classes and has its own on-site bakery and store. New Hampshire ~ The Candlelight Stroll at Strawberry Banke in Portsmouth takes place in December on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Maine ~ Sunday River in Bethel offers a rare site on Sunday, December 3rd with its “Santa Sunday” event. Over 250 people dressed in Santa suits will be hitting the slopes to support the Sunday River Community Fund. According to the website, www.sundayriver.com/events- and-activities/events-calendar/santa-sunday, this event has even been featured on the Travel Channel. Participants registrations start on Monday, November 27th at noon!
Massachusetts ~ The Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston offers “Winter Reimagined” from November 24, 2017 through January 7, 2019.
