GREATER MANCHESTER, NH

Manchester is one of the larger cities in NH and boasts many choices of things to do. The Verizon Arena is home to concerts, Monarch Ice Hockey and numerous events through the year. They have the Semi-Professional team, Fischer Cats baseball team holding games at the baseball stadium located in the heart of Manchester. This is city is also known for the Currier Art Museum where different art displays are changed constantly and the Palace Theatre where you can catch the latest production. Manchester has several schools from preschool to colleges, including Southern NH University (SNHU) where the main campus is based. Other colleges are Granite State College, Mt. Washington College, New Hampshire Institute for the Arts and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences along with other smaller schools also available. Manchester has parks and public swimming pools all available to area residents. There are several towns bordering Manchester including Auburn, Bedford, Candia, Goffstown, Hooksett, and Weare just to name a few. These towns have access to Manchester and the great restaurants and cultural events throughout the year. Manchester is a one hour ride to the Lakes Region, Hampton Beach and White Mountains where skiing is plentiful in NH. The state’s largest broadcasting station WMUR and newspaper The Union Leader are also located in Manchester. Manchester/Boston Regional Airport has become an important hub with airlines like Southwest, US Airway, Delta and United Airlines servicing the area.

GREATER NASHUA, NH

Nashua is a great city bordering the Massachusetts line. There is much to do in Nashua with their parks and shopping. The Pheasant Lane Mall is a large Mall located along the Daniel Webster Highway corridor. Daniel Webster Highway has so many restaurants, car dealerships, shopping and anything you need, you can probably find along this route. Downtown Nashua has been revitalized with the Nashua Riverwalk which goes along the Nashua River great walking path. Nashua is also home to the Professional baseball team the Silver Knights as well as the minor league Nashua Pride. It is easy to catch a game in the summer at Holman Stadium. There are several schools servicing the Nashua population and for colleges Daniel Webster College, University of NH, SNHU, and Granite State College to name a few. Greater Nashua area consist of local suburb towns such as Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack and the Massachusetts towns of Pepperell, Dunstable and Tyngsborough.

LAKES REGION

The Lakes Region is home to Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam along with several other lakes in this region. Towns included in the Lakes Region are Laconia, Meredith, Gilford, Belmont, Alton, Wolfboro to name a few. Lake Winnipesaukee is the hub in this region with events happening throughout the year, ice fishing derbys, sailing regattas, dog sled races and so many other events. This region is located just north of Concord, NH and south of the White Mountain area. So there are many little towns embracing this region and calling it home. Quaint villages, marinas, restaurants, and art events to explore. Lakes Region Community College is just one of the many community colleges sprinkled throughout this region. Another great place to call home.
